KK Long Looms

Well, I finally got around to using the KK long looms. This is the first project I finished on one of them. A simple purse with a flap. I used the green long loom and used it to knit in the round for the main body of the purse (50 rows) and then I crochet removed all the pegs except the back row (all the way around the sides so there is just a straight line of wrapped pegs across the back). Then I continued knitting on the one side for the flap (I think it was about 30 rows). I crochet removed the flap and then made the strap by making a I-cord on the loom. Sewed the bottom closed and crocheted around all the edges and added the straps. This is the project I was hoping to be able to felt. It just looks like it would be pretty felted but Wool Ease doesn't felt. Many helpful people on the Yahoo groups taught me that. Oh well. Maybe the next one. I thought there would be a gap between the knit (wider ladders than usual) since the pegs on the ends of these looms are farther apart but there weren't any. I learned that you can make a round piece on a double rake too and the gap that I thought would appear on the KK long looms would appear when knitting in the round on a double rake (board or frame, I reall wish they would stick to one) but all you have to do is work the piece and it will even out! Pretty cool, huh? I'm always still learning. I'm behind on adding things to the website. We have to find a house to live in or I'll be homeless in about 2 and a half weeks. I still have to pack and have everything out of here by December 11! So, I don't know if I'm going to be able to even get to the website. I'm going to try to do as much as I can in the next couple of days and then I will probably disappear for a couple of weeks as I will be moving and won't have time and eventually access to internet. Man, that's going to be rough. Weeks without internet! What am I going to do! Loom knit of course :) Wish me luck!!!!
